Hornady Manufacturing Company was founded in 1949 by Joyce Hornady in Grand Island, Nebraska. Starting in a small garage, the company has grown into the world’s largest independent maker of bullets, ammunition, and reloading tools.

Hornady pioneered bullet and cartridge innovations such as the InterLock™ design, LEVERevolution®, and developed leading rounds including .17 HMR, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6 mm ARC, 300 PRC, and .204 Ruger. Its founding motto “Ten bullets in the same hole” underscores the brand’s commitment to consistency and high performance.
